Σήμερα έχουμε στην παρέα μας μια ταλαντούχα καλλιτέχνη από την Ινδία, την Vidhi, που κέρδισε στην πρόκληση του περασμένου Νοεμβρίου, και σήμερα έχουμε τη χαρά να τη φιλοξενούμε στο Scraps N Pieces ως Guest Designer.

Η Vidhi δημιούργησε για εμάς έναν καμβά, εμπνευσμένο από το mood board του μήνα που έχει θέμα “Tags & Numbers”.

Hello friends,

I am back with my Guest Design Post for Scraps N pieces Blog. It's an honor to design for an amazing blog. I am Vidhi Jadeja from India, an artist by profession, an avid blogger, a doting daughter-in-law, a mother of two sweet little angels, a full-time homemaker, a compassionate person, a trained artist with post graduate in commerce and a Diploma in Fine Arts. 

I am in crafting since the last 2 years. I’m interested in Decoupage, Mixed Media Art, Art Journal, Layouts and scrapbook making. But at the moment I’m really focused on mixed media projects. I like all traditional Indian art forms.  Gradually, I realized my love and inclination towards vintage, rustic, wooden, masculine, distressed and ethnic art forms.

Creativity for me is all about inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and still having fun!  

For my guest design at Scraps N Pieces, I decided to present an altered canvas. I just loved March's Mood board. I was inspired by the numbers, the colors and the rustic elements!

First, I added a piece of rice paper on canvas with soft gloss gel. After that, I added some Tim Holtz washi tapes here and there. I covered my canvas with Clear Gesso to prime mas base for further mediums to add.

For more texture, I applied Prima white crackle paste through a DecoArt stencil. I let it dry naturally. Randomly added die cuts of numbers with Soft gloss gel. To add colours, I used LIndy's magical shakers for shine and bright colours. They are really magical.  With the help of rust paste, 

I did some more stencilling here and there for more depth. 

I glued my all elements with heavy body gel...Added some new embellishments too.

Finally, I added randomly Art stones with yellow rust paste and used finnabair waxes here and there for more shine. And it's done!
