Hello peeps....this is Rituparna from "THE ENTICING CREATION" coming with my GD inspiration on Scraps N Pieces-The Blog. Thanks for giving me this wonderful opportunity, I am so glad.

I come from a small city Berhampur which has an immense historical importance for West Bengal but also for the whole country.

I ‘ve been passionate about art and craft since my childhood. After completing my Masters in Political Science, I was involved in an 9 hours job, that could not give me mental satisfaction. Following my inherited know-how towards crafting skills, I started enhancing theoretical knowledge by attending several courses of Art & Crafts and Mural Art at Holy Child School of Fine Arts - Mumbai.

It's long 16 years I am keenly attached with this crafting world through various artist, learning centers, sharing my creativeness with my co-workers. Little commercial deals are also being done by my establishment " The Enticing Creation".

Now, I am settled in Delhi - NCR with my husband and my 2 years daughter. I used to get great inspiration from them. Responsibilities and subsequent work has now got doubled as besides my homemaking I do my craft work full time with shear intensity and dedication.

Today I have my own crafty venture "The Enticing Creation" where I try my best to show my passion through my creations and next level creations like Tanjore painting, Marble minakari, Minakari painting, mixed-media, card making, clay modelling, coloring, layering, collage, decoupage, distressing, altered art and many more. My favorite craft supplies are always pencil and my imagination.

Now my project details..

First, I took a wooden log base and a miniature garden bench and primed with Prima white and black Heavy Gesso.

Then I used different texture pastes to create more interest to the surface.
I added some natural wooden bark and little stones. I love the riverside natural shaped stones.

I added some Moss powder, Ranger opaque texture paste and mini stones.
After that, I colored the natural stones with Prima military rust paste.

I colored the whole base with Lindy’s Sprays.

Then, I painted all spring wooden alphabets with chalk paints.

After assembling all the parts, I added some miniature grass, coconut sisal, handmade flowers and miniature succulents
I did some shading on the garden bench with Prima Μetallique Old Silver for a vintage look. Also added on some floral wire and water drops.

Thank you so much dear Rituparna for this amzing project.
It is so beautiful and inpiring!

Hello friends,
I am back with my Guest Design Post for Scraps N pieces Blog. It's an honor to design for an amazing blog. I am Vidhi Jadeja from India, an artist by profession, an avid blogger, a doting daughter-in-law, a mother of two sweet little angels, a full-time homemaker, a compassionate person, a trained artist with post graduate in commerce and a Diploma in Fine Arts.
I am in crafting since the last 2 years. I’m interested in Decoupage, Mixed Media Art, Art Journal, Layouts and scrapbook making. But at the moment I’m really focused on mixed media projects. I like all traditional Indian art forms.  Gradually, I realized my love and inclination towards vintage, rustic, wooden, masculine, distressed and ethnic art forms.
Creativity for me is all about inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and still having fun!

For my guest design at Scraps N Pieces, I decided to present an altered canvas. I just loved March's Mood board. I was inspired by the numbers, the colors and the rustic elements!

First, I added a piece of rice paper on canvas with soft gloss gel. After that, I added some Tim Holtz washi tapes here and there. I covered my canvas with Clear Gesso to prime mas base for further mediums to add.

For more texture, I applied Prima white crackle paste through a DecoArt stencil. I let it dry naturally. Randomly added die cuts of numbers with Soft gloss gel. To add colours, I used LIndy's magical shakers for shine and bright colours. They are really magical.  With the help of rust paste,

I did some more stencilling here and there for more depth.
I glued my all elements with heavy body gel...Added some new embellishments too.

Finally, I added randomly Art stones with yellow rust paste and used finnabair waxes here and there for more shine. And it's done!

Thank you so much Vidhi for this amazing step-by-step.
This canvas is absolutely gorgeous!

Guest Designer Veana R.

Γεια σας φίλες και φίλοι του SnP!
Hello dear crafters and SnP friends!

Today we’re bringing you some Holiday inspiration from lovely Slovenia! Veana R., winner of our summer challenge is our Guest Designer for this month. Our festive mood board inspired Veana to create a beautiful Christmas décor piece! We hope you enjoy it!

Veana

Hello dear crafters!  I am Zvezdana Rot, aka Veana R. I live with my lovely family on the coast of wonderful Slovenia - the only country in the world that has the word LOVE in its name. Let’s stay in love....
I love my garden, where colorful flowers inspire my creativity and  I love reading, because one life for me is not enough, but most of all I love art & crafting, where my imagination spread it wings. Started 4 years ago with making greeting cards and scrapbooking.
Last year in June I started writing a blog and discovered mixed media techniques. Just love it!! A big Thank You to dear Natassa, as she kindly invited me to be a Guest Designer this month.  The December moadboard is just magical and inspired me to create this beautiful Christmas wreath.

First, I cut a star from a carton, covered it with moss and wrapped a wire around it. To highlight the green color of the moss, I sprinkled some Lindy's Magical Powders in green color. I used white embossingpowder all around the edges of the star, to create the impression of snow.

I die cut these beautiful houses out of cardboard. I painted them with white gesso, covered them with crackle paste and then sprinkled on them Lindy's Magical Powder in red color. On the roofs I applied paste that I created by mixing various ingredients, and by chance it started puffing when I heat set it. Wow! I really liked this! I glued those magical little houses on a semicircular piece of cardstock with 3d self-adhesive pads.

I enjoy creating with Mixed Media techniques and I always completely forget about time. I usually use what I find in my studio. I like to add some natural elements and also recycled or old accessories.  But most of all I love Lindy's products, because they are really magical like Christmas time.

On the top of the wreath, I made a Christmas bow and added some decorative elements. The two little metal angels are there to bring peace and love in my village.

Let me wish you dears: May all the sweet magic of Christmas inspire your creativity and fill your hearts with love & joy.
Have a Happy Holiday and a magnificent New Year!!!

Thank you dear Veana for sharing your beautiful creatioin with us!
We whish you have the Happiest Holidays with your lovely family

Guest Designer Priya Chajjed

Αυτή τη φορά, ως Guest Designer του Scraps N Pieces, έχει δημιουργήσει ένα πολύ όμορφο mixed media layout σε φθινοπωρινά χρώματα και με τίτλο Let Life Surprise You - 'Ασε τη Ζωή να σε εκπλήξει!

Welcome Priya!

My name is Priya Chajjed and I live in Ahmedabad, India.

I started crafting over 4 years ago. I love anything mixed media,  as you will see in most of my artwork. I also love making albums which are a store house of memories.

Art to me is a way of expressing yourself and having fun.

I’m very happy to be a guest designer for Scraps n Pieces –The Blog. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.

Without further ado, I’m sharing  this  mixed media layout with you all and I hope you all like it.

For this layout, first I applied clear gesso on my base and after it dried, I applied some white gesso using sponge. Then, I played with amazing Lindy’s Sprays and Magical Shakers to color my background. Also made some splashes. Then I traced the design using marker pen.

When the background was ready I stamped some flowers and doodle designs on plain white cardstock and fussy cut them.

I arranged everything around the center quote... and finished!

Hope you like it and find it interesting
Thank you
xoxo
