Σήμερα σας φέρνουμε γιορτινή ατμόσφαιρα από την όμορφη Σλοβενία! Η Veana R., νικήτρια της καλοκαιρινής μας πρόκλησης, είναι η Guest Designer αυτού του μήνα. Το γιορτινό μας mood board ενέπνευσε την Veana να δημιουργήσει ένα πολύ όμορφο χριστουγεννιάτικο διακοσμητικό. 

Today we’re bringing you some Holiday inspiration from lovely Slovenia! Veana R., winner of our summer challenge is our Guest Designer for this month. Our festive mood board inspired Veana to create a beautiful Christmas décor piece! We hope you enjoy it!

Veana

Hello dear crafters!  I am Zvezdana Rot, aka Veana R. I live with my lovely family on the coast of wonderful Slovenia - the only country in the world that has the word LOVE in its name. Let’s stay in love.... 

I love my garden, where colorful flowers inspire my creativity and  I love reading, because one life for me is not enough, but most of all I love art & crafting, where my imagination spread it wings. Started 4 years ago with making greeting cards and scrapbooking. 

Last year in June I started writing a blog and discovered mixed media techniques. Just love it!! A big Thank You to dear Natassa, as she kindly invited me to be a Guest Designer this month.  The December moadboard is just magical and inspired me to create this beautiful Christmas wreath.

First, I cut a star from a carton, covered it with moss and wrapped a wire around it. To highlight the green color of the moss, I sprinkled some Lindy's Magical Powders in green color. I used white embossingpowder all around the edges of the star, to create the impression of snow.

I die cut these beautiful houses out of cardboard. I painted them with white gesso, covered them with crackle paste and then sprinkled on them Lindy's Magical Powder in red color. On the roofs I applied paste that I created by mixing various ingredients, and by chance it started puffing when I heat set it. Wow! I really liked this! I glued those magical little houses on a semicircular piece of cardstock with 3d self-adhesive pads. 

I enjoy creating with Mixed Media techniques and I always completely forget about time. I usually use what I find in my studio. I like to add some natural elements and also recycled or old accessories.  But most of all I love Lindy's products, because they are really magical like Christmas time.

On the top of the wreath, I made a Christmas bow and added some decorative elements. The two little metal angels are there to bring peace and love in my village.
