Καλημέρα και καλό μήνα! Happy May!

Είδα πολλές χαρούμενες φωτογραφίες χθες στα social media και χαίρομαι που περάσατε τόσο όμορφα. Εύχομαι να είστε πάντα τόσο χαμογελαστές κι ευτυχισμένες!!!

Για πείτε μου όμως από τσαντούλες πως πάμε? Είδα ήδη κάποιες συμμετοχές, πολύ πολύ όμορφες, και περιμένω να δω κι άλλες πολλές, οπότε στρωθείτε!

Σήμερα έχουμε στο blogμας την αξιαγάπητη designer μας Maria Lillepruun, η οποία μας έφτιαξε μια Tote that really Rocks. Σε απίθανο grunge style και με πολύ έντονες υφές, αλλά …. διαβάστε τα από την ίδια!

The bag, my assistant and me ready to start!

First of all I put some plastic inside the bag to prevent my paints from leaking to its back side.

1. I applied some heavy black gesso to the front with large vertical strokes.

Then I added a bit of water to the gesso to make it more liquid and add some small black splashes to the surface with a brush.

2. I applied white texture paste to the surface through a stencil (used Finns plaster paste, the stencil is from my 1st DT box)

Meanwhile, I took some metallic embellishments and color them slightly with blue alcohol ink.

3. While waiting for the embelishments to dry, I applied some rust onto the bag using Rust effect pastes.

Then, I added some background stamps using Finns stamp and black archival ink.

4. I glued the embellishments on the bag using contact glue (used metals and textile ribbons from my dt box)

I colored the embellishments with Opal magic wax to make them all look like made of similar metal.

I decided that I needed some bigger paint splashes so I used acrylic paint and a cocktail straw. When all the paint and glue were completely dry, I stitched all the embellishments to the bag to secure them.

I also glued and stitched a lock to the bag. The lock was originally from an old leather bag that I threw away.
